Dip jewellery in and use a soft toothbrush to clean then rinse with water & hang to dry . It is very important that jewellery is dry before storing .Jewellery should be stored in a jewellery box, pouch or original packaging & should be stored separately so the pieces do not rub or scratch each other. It is recommended that all jewellery should be taken off before swimming or bathing.And apply any perfume, hairspray etc onto skin before putting on jewellery as these products can damage jewellery. Pearl Jewellery Pearls are very delicate they should be taken off before bathing or swimming. If pearls are on a strand you can wipe with a damp cloth to clean. If pearls are on with gold or silver chain and findings they can be cleaned in a solution of warm water and dish washing liquid. Use a soft toothbrush to clean then rinse and hang to dry. Finish with jewellery polishing cloth. If pearls are strung they may need to be checked from time to time to make sure stringing is still strong. |
